If you get the ATI stuff, it will pan both screens... Mike(bordumb) has it.
I can't help you look for anything on ebay though mang, I'm gonna go out and ride for a while.

31 March 2006, 05:49 UTC#35

hmm seems you have an
ATI gfx card, you could get the splitter thing that was mentioned before and just use
ATI's hydravision to split the screens, thats what I would do.
this is the card. ^ and output dongle is what the splitter would be called?
31 March 2006, 05:58 UTC#37
Yes, just make sure its kiind of like the one I put up there, with the two monitor plug-ins
They may not even have them available for that card, I don't really know... But, I can no longer be of assistance, as I'm going to go ride... I'll be back in an hour or so.

Whoa, k I looked at my card info or whatever, whats this secondary bullshit that comes up with it? anyone know maybe I got something I dont know about?
edit: remember I do have a tv plugged into my video out card as a 2nd monitor right now, is this what it means?

31 March 2006, 21:21 UTC#42
yeah the one you bought looks like the right thing

basically just makes one output port into two, they both recieve the same information therefore becoming mirror images of eachother, with the software I put earlier you will be able to use the monitors as seperate monitors and have different stuff on each one

sorry I didnt reply sooner, bin a lil busy

hope everything works out
31 March 2006, 21:24 UTC#43
thanks man, ill give it a go when it comes in

31 March 2006, 21:32 UTC#44

I bought a 'dvi male to vga female' port changer from trademe for $5, but your graphics card needs the second slot, most have them. Like the image above

did you use the software that you were told about?
yeah, aparently it has nothin to do with it, its a multi desktop thing that lets me click a button and a new desktop pops up without the same stuff running on it
yeah im gonna have to get a new video card, this cable wasnt expensive but I waited a month and a half for jack shit cuz the dooshbag took forever to send it on ebay... I think ill just buy a wicked new video card to replace... my card only has the one vga output on it
