Has your favorite director ever made such an awful film that it really made you wonder what the fuck was he thinking? In this thread, talk about great directors and their biggest flops.

Oliver Stone

Good: Platoon, Born on the 4th of July, U Turn

Flop: Alexander, the god damn worst mainstream film I've ever seen

Michael Mann

Good: Heat, Last of the Mochicans, Collateral

Flop: Miami Vice - okay now this movie isn't even out yet, but there is no way in fuck this film will be good. Seriously, anything will Collin Farrel is absolute shit.

While on this note, what the fuck is up with great directors working with Collin Farrel?!?! Michael Mann, Oliver Stone, Joel Schumacher, Steven Spielberg, Terrence Malick... Image file not present in the recovered backup

There are loads more, I'll list them in a bit..

Quentin Tarantino
Jackie Brown - I waited ages for this to some out... Dont get me wrong it was a OK movie... But OK is not what I expected from him :( Big let down... and the movie everyone forgets.

Luc Besson
Transporter 2 - First one was good... A brain dead movie but did what it set out to do. The 2nd... It sucked... I thought it was good at the start... But turned out to be very stupid and not like a Besson movie at all.

I'm going by my own opinion, not box office success. I thought the first one was Ok, but the others just blew hard chunks.

He's not a director, but Al Pacino in 2 for the money. I dunno why he signed up for a film that was as flimsy as my penis at a boyzone concert.

Add Star Wars I-III to bad. They were all horrible. Just playing around with a lot of effects, which didn't even look good in Episode I
