ok....I am working on a piece, but there are two parts in the foreground that kind of stick out....I have tried messing with the opacity, I have tried the sponge tool, I have tried to smudge the edges to make them less sharp, and I have tried playing with the hue/saturation, what else can I try.

make a new layer and get the paintbrush and color black over the edges a little with the opacity of the brush real low. then smudge in corners that look out of place. that's a good way to blend objects into a picture.
