To convert from .flv use Cinema Forge
It's quick as hell too, I've converted 10minute, good quality videos in under 1min and they work.

Why the hell would you download the .flv files when the .AVI version is right under that link??? Image file not present in the recovered backup
Well I don't get an AVI link for youtube videos, do you get them with google video or something?
