groups won't recieve any money for at least another 3 months. so don't worry and yes I know how it works.

At least 3 months? I thought it was quarterly payments. That means that by law you need to at the very least send out statements on the 31st of March for the the accounting period.
Moody, this was all in your license so by law you are required to do it.

the groups will be paid at the end of the first full quarter the dvd has been released, which would be end of june. it's the best way to handle it.

I dont really think thats up to you mate. Your contract stipulates that you are required to provide quarterly statements. You agreed to this.
I think you should leave that decision up to the groups to whether or not they want to let the payments for dates leading up to March 31st roll over into the next quarters royalites. In saying that, your launching the DVD today, its going to have 10 days of launch sales in this quarter.
Groups who want payment for all sales leading up to 31st of March shouldnt even have to ask or sound like they're begging. This was the terms that you signed on for.
This is about as unproffesional as you can get mate. Pull your fucking head in.

if groups need the money they can pm me or instant message me. pay outs to groups woudn't be more than $20 at most right now probably so people should just wait.

How many presales have you sold and how do you know that a group wont get over 20 bucks seeings that you havent even worked out the profit share yet?
I dont really see why groups should have to chase you for payment. You should automatically pay them unless they contact you to roll it over. Not the other way around.
