Interesting read, displays speculation on how Apple may be considering ditching OSx in favour of Windows.

Interesting move. Won't this kill off the major difference between Apples and PC's though? Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing.

Well, they've introduced the X86 chips for Mac, so the move to migration can't be that far if they're considering it all they have to do is port the system drivers to Windows. I think we'll see Mac giving users a choice whether they want to have their system pre-installed with either OSx or Windows. OSx is a great OS, so I can't see them scraping it altogether anytime soon.

If Apple would switch to Windows, it wouldn't be different from the many brand-name PC Hardware makers (Dell, HP, etc.)
Apple is not popular in businesses in Europe. Business PCs must be cheap and reliable, and don't need nice design. On the other hand, home computers must be well designed, good looking, and has to have a good OS, like the Mac OS X.
I don't know it, but I've heard Mac OS X is more user friendly than Windows.

Might be a stupid question, but what differences will Macintosh then have to PCs if this happens?
I thought that Mac OS was one of the main differences why a Mac is considered to be "better" than a PC

mac already is starting to use the intel chip and has said it will start supporting windows. they finally realized that no one's buying their overpriced shit and that it's time to conform.
the only advantage (if you could call it that) is that apple would just make stupid ass looking computers with intel shit inside, no biggie.
