Ok so I wanted to play Fallout and I installed it but... it says I need DirectX 3a which apparentely dosent exist anymore. And they game isnt working right...its fucking up so I am guessing that I NEED that directx version, or does anyone know of a way to fix it?

Surely downloading an even newer version of direct X will solve it?

Yeah, I know, its ancient. But I downloaded 9 and it didnt help the problem.
Its still fucking up.

I have the same problem with dark reign but Fallout is working fine

Fallout is notoriously buggy. Download the patch.

My screen goes all black but whenever I put my cursor over the black region the pixels go normal and shit. Its like a fucking puzzle.

I had exactly the same thing. Try the patch
