anyone seen it yet? I went out and saw it like right after I got out of school. didn't really scare me, but I really liked it because it was a plot Ive never really heard of before, something new. I thought this film was better than about 95% of the horror movies that have been released in the past year or two.

thoughts?

Theres a tantalising text introduction involving secret nuclear tests at the start. It's really promising.

A family on a road trip through a 'deserted' 'desert' (lol). They stop at the usual horror film run-down spooky gas station. Then it goes downhill in usual style. The usual horror film spooky gas station attendant and aload of boring textbook chases involving 'good guys' being chased by axe wielding 'bad guys' ensue. Shit.

And that sums up the whole film really. Don't waste your money if you consider yourself partial to a good film. This is not.

I just got back from seeing it, I really enjoyed it, but a few parts reminded me of "wrong turn"

Such a new idea for a plot, it's amazing, only about 30 years old. Image file not present in the recovered backup

Yeah, I haven't seen the old version yet, but I knew about it for a while. I just saw the new version on Sunday and I thought it was fantastic. Although Adem was right, some of the scenes reminded me of Wrong Turn, but the movie itself was pretty original. The rape scene is the best, for all of you that like horror films, this movie went pretty far at saying fuck you to every other horror movie and made a real one!

I saw it, and I bought the DVD, it was that good, I never buy movies. But, let me say, it wouldn't have been half as good if it weren't for the uncanny resemblance of Adem to the main character badass guy in the end of the flick.
