Folder Help

all of a sudden, most of my folders went all gay n I cant figure out how to get them back to there origonal colour..

EDIT: never mind, you got one, hmmm can't really think what might have happened. what did they look like before?

Just out of interest while this topics here is there anyway to set paswords onto your folders? Image file not present in the recovered backup

heres a way, not sure if its worth the hassle though, there are programs that can do it for you that you may research and 'aquire'

while we are on the subject of files, after every filename theres the extension, ie .jpg, .avi, in the filename. When I edit the name of the file it says (editing the extension of this file will make it unstable) because I have removed the .jpg from the name, how do I set it to not have those.. I no you can do it as it wasnt like this before, ive accidentally changed a setting somewhere.

With Windows XP.

1.) Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel.

2.) I have mine on "Classic View" so I click the "Folder Options" Icon.

3.) Go to the "View" tab and scroll down to where it says, "Hide extensions for known file types" and make sure there is a Check next to it.

4.) Apply then OK.


Can't you just right click the folder and go to "Properties" and then go to "Customize" tab and click "Change Icon"?

ive done that before it changes it to a different one but if I set it back to the origonal folder it comes up like that again
