I'm about to start working for a large multi national mobile video content company.

Before I was just supplying them with footage, but now I'm actually inside working for the company after they offered me a position last week.

At the moment there's a lot of content needed, they have just signed a deal that requires them to have 4-6 new clips a week. These clips have to be 45 seconds long.

Basically, if you want to get your content up and into the market this is a good time. Now that I work inside the company, I can offer cash up front.

I know that a lot of groups initially submitted a few months ago and uploaded samples to an FTP, these clips will be used and taken up, but because they were only 30 seconds long they're not for this particular supplier.

Let me know if you want to start submitting content. If you get 45 second edited clips submitted I can process a payment by the end of the week.

I'll post this in VIP only for now and give you guys a chance to jump at this first.

Shoot any questions this way.

Guidelines for submission for this particular buyer:

Clips must be minimum of 43 seconds.
Must not contain any excessive violence, sex, swearing, self harm or mutilation, vommiting, eating supsect things, fire or light tubes.
Must not contain any language other than English.
Editing must not contain flashes or any complicated effects. Must not contain too many fast cuts. This all doesnt come up too well on a mobile phone screen at lo-res and low framrates.
Scenes must not be overly dark. Again, this all doesnt come up too well on a mobile phone screen.
Generally, clips with stunts and pranks get approved very quickly.
When submitting you'll be given proper delivery specs.

I know half of the stuff this buyer doesnt like cancels out all the really good stuff. Fuck, half of PickledEGGS content is basically filth, vomitting and self mutilation, but unfortunately I couldnt use any of this for this particular buyer.

Timeline for submission:

Edited compressed clips can be emailed or linked to me.
I'll then approve clips for next delivery.
Generally, there will always be a couple of minor changes to make before approval ie: Take out that scene, trim up that one etc.
Once approved, Ill need delivery of the clip in a format that will be pre-determined.
Once final clip has been been delivered payment will be sent to you either by paypal or money order immediately.

Current price for single 45sec clips works out to around $40AUD.. Im currently pushing for a higher fee. It may not sounds like much, but submit a couple of clips a week for a month and all of a sudden its up to around 400 bucks.

Note: You retain all rights to your footage and can license your stuff out to whoever you want still.

If anyone has any questions I can be contacted on:

So, it has to be 45 seconds? No less?? Im confused.

I should have a few clips worthy, and I'm guessing the quality doesn't need to be good, around 500kb WMV? or something. I'm not really bothered about the money lol, it would just be cool seeing our footage on a phone :D

Still at my current (soon to be old) job at the moment and dont have MSN unfortunatley.

If people want to chat about this, I'll be on email all day and can respond instantly. [email address redacted]

To the groups who submitted 30sec clips a couple of months ago, these are still gonna go through shortly and be a different deal and payment all together. What they are asking for at the moment is these 45sec clips.

I need 6 straight up this week. I can pay for the first 6 this week. I can give you around $40 per clip just for this deal.

With the edits, try to space them out, this will be an ongoing thing so you dont want to use all your best footage in your first 5 clips. Try putting filler content and drawing the clips out a bit to make more (without making it too boring). ie: If you're doing a bushjump clip, get all the intro and outro. All the bits after he's jumped and is lying there. It will get you to the 45 sec mark in no time.

The content I am looking for is stunts, pranks. Not so much extreme sports but If theres stacking skateboards and stuff like that, it can be put in.

$40 is a lot to me. I'll whip together a clip when I get home. Same format as last time?

40 bucks Australian.. Works out to 32 US I think.

In saying that, if groups can make a few clips, and submit 3 a week they can make around 100 bucks US a week.

I'm really interested in this but I'm not sure what content to submit and how to edit it. Would footage of fights and stuff like that be okay, or are you just looking for stunts? And are we supposed to edit this like mix-up with music and everything? Could you post an example of what youre looking for?

Illegal shit like fights and stuff like fires dont go down too well.

With the editing, dont put any music to it. If you wanna edit it like a mix up thats fine, or if you want to edit it with just one or 2 stunts with intros thats fine as well. As long as it gets to minimum of 45 secs.

In my experience, as I said, stretch out your footage a bit. You may be able to get a couple of extra clips out of your stuff.

Are all of our clips guaranteed to be used?
Or, do they decide what to use and what not too, how does it work??
Thanks.

we are keen, how would lemoning people/houses go down? We have some old stunt/prank footage as well, but a whole load of lemoning stuff.
Do you have a site we can have a look at? where the videos will be?
What format/size are you looking for?

Illegal stuff doesnt go down too well. As much as I like watching it, it wont get picked up by the buyers.

This package will be distributed by networks around Asia, so there isnt a central website.

Format I need is WMV or AVI. 320 X 240.. 500kps

how many videos are you looking for, as we have loads of footage, but on so many dvd's and will take a while to find/edit them up. Like.. we could have a few 45 second videos ready in a week?

Okay man a few questions before I start submitting:

1. What about the framerate.
2. Sound allowed? Music allowed (guess not?)
3. 45 secs, is that raw footage or a mix clip.

Tell me. Thanks.
