I dunno what it is about but lately every once in awhile HGF will take forever to load then will go to page not found like a brief server shut down I dunno but jsut now it did it and when it loaded it says user gazaa already has more then 142 (I think thats how many) users connected at this time. and it said like conenction error or someshit.....

Dunno if its important but figured id see if its me or if anyone else gets it or what

It can be sorted pretty quickly by talking to the guys at live support, it just needs someone who knows gaz's / weak's username to do it.
(Thats for the SQL error thingy)

I dont think its possible weak, I remember gaz told me its because people have configured firefox to allow to many connections.

If everyone reset their connection limit to 1 we wouldnt have a problem.

Yeah, I've seen it happen a couple times. I just attributed it to my non-VIP status and cried in a corner til' it came back.

nah you know when it says like blah blah blah too many connections... with the HGVforums you can just talk to the guys at live support and they'll fix it. They recommend I did something woth the application but I havent got a fucking clue about that. They cant fix it perminantly but they can reset the connections so everyone can get back on. And I guess if you ask them, theyll be able to walk you through how to stop it all together. I dunno tho maybe im wrong

Meh I dunno, all I know is that HGVforums gets the same error and then the guys at brinkster reset the connections which gets everyone back on.
Apparently according to them "Your application is not correctly closing the database connections after it is done with this" W/e the fuck that means

Because there isnt a problem with the account, but there is an issue with connections (not linked to the hosting account.)

Not difficult to understand really is it?

if its on a dedicated server and you have access to the httpd or mysql configuration file you can find somewhere in it maxsqlconnection, not sure if its in httpd or mysql, its probably in mysql , just change that and restart the mysql service

HGF is on a semi dedicated server I believe. Would this not be possible then?

Wouldnt that mean the problem is on your end, not theirs? If the problem is with your application, and they can't actually fix it...I would assume it has less to do with your host...and more to do with the way you've configured your site.

I agree with Tomm...I think this has to do with the settings. Tomm, I can PM you the logins to the cpanel if it will help any.

I've email hostgator, I'll probally have a response in an hour or two.
