Jason X didn't exactly do anything justice...

no, Jason X sucked. Theres no question about it. As far as I know, this is going to be a remake/prequel and its done by the same people who did the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, so with this said I have faith they can at least pull something decent out their asses. Nothing could be worse than Jason X

What do you mean, Jason X was crap?

One of the best movies in the slapstick comedy genre I've ever seen.

as far as Ive seen, its 2006. Also there is a Friday 13th in October this year. It could be pushed back though. They announced the project but dont have a script. I doubt they can pack all the production into a few month span but who knows

yeah I really don't see that happening either. it will take atleast 2 years if they don't even have a script yet...I would like to see the sequel to freddy vs. jason. you know there has to be one...

I have a feeling Freddy VS Jason will have a few sequels.
You know its only a matter of time before there is a new Nightmare On Elm Street, so they can keep building off of the VS story

- Since no script has been written and only ideas have been thrown around, much of what has been said has to be treated as "talk" only, as anything can be changed while the script is being written.

I wasnt a fan of any of the originals... they were to generic and slow paced for me. But I'll still check this out, hopefully they'll bring something new to the genre.

lol I hope you're not serious, that movie blew so hard, they casted the absolute wrong actors/actresses. the constant spraying of blood annoyed me towards the end, and lori campbell screamed more than the fucking annoying little girl in war of the worlds. the only thing that kept that movie going was the last battle.

you mean the one at the end that looked like absolute shit?

The one where they would punch eachother and fly soo many feet and it was so unrealistic?

Movie was horrible through out the whole thing.

this is what I was talking about:

Movie director Quentin Tarantino is in talks with executives from the movie production company New Line Cinema to discuss directing the next in the “Friday the 13th” series. The original movie was released in 1980 and has become a horror classic, along with its psycho killer, Jason. The ten sequels that followed it were slightly less than classic and include Jason creating fear in New York (“Jason Takes Manhattan”) as well as going to space (“Jason X”). Movie number eleven saw Jason battling another bloodthirsty maniac – Freddie from “Nightmare on Elm Street” – in the 2003 release “Freddy vs. Jason”. New Line Cinema wanted the next movie to also include the character Ash from the “Evil Dead” movies in a proposed “Jason vs. Freddy vs. Ash”, but the deal fell through. Tarantino seems an interesting choice to direct the next Jason movie. He has already perfected stomach churning scenes in his previous movies “Reservoir Dogs”, “Pulp Fiction”, and the bloodfests “Kill Bill” 1 and 2. For Tarantino, blood is one of the main stars of the show. It will be difficult to find an original name for the new movie as previous titles have exhausted the “final” theme with the movies “The Final Chapter” and “The Final Friday”.
--

But I read somewhere that he said no to jason, and started directing GRINDHOUSE with robert rodriguez

Something tells me this is all bullshit.

Just like the live action Dragon Ball Z movie that was set for the summer of 2004.

I'm still waiting on that sonnovabitch.

Because back in 2002 when I heard about it, I was a DBZ nerd. Like, hardcore.

Watched it every day.

Had a bunch of tapes and shit. Sold 'em in a garage sell.

But yeah, I waited, and waited, and then heard it was a hoax, then heard the info about it being a hoax was a hoax..So I'm still trying to find out. Someone said they called Paramount and the lady wouldnt disclose any information on it. And this was last year.
