I thought I'd put this out here for word and kane, or anyone else into graffiti. it's a very fun game. I don't feel like taking time to review it for myself, so go to the IGN link.
Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure combines combat, action, adventure and stealth as the main character, Trane, sets out to prove that he's the best graffiti artist around. It's really not that easy, however, as the game features something called, "Get In, Get Up, and Get Out". Gamers will need to use stealth in order to "get in" to restricted areas, dexterity and agility in order to scale tall objects to "get up", and the ability to think on your feet as you run from the powers that be in order to "get out". The city of New Radius is a living character in Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure; it sets the tone and offers the thematic boundaries that oppress Trane from the opening cinematic to the dramatic conclusion.

yeah its been downloading for a few hours now. Is the gameplay good?
19 February 2006, 21:43 UTC#3
is that for pc aswell or only ps2?
20 February 2006, 01:11 UTC#4
I haven't played the pc version, but it's out for like ps2, pc and xbox.
the gameplay is pretty awesome, there has been some spots tho that I got pushed into a wall and couldn't get out, pretty lame glitch, and you can control the tagging, so if you spray too long in one spot you lose rep for dripping and what not.

nice nice sounds cool, im downloading the pc version. Ill do a reveiw or something when I have played it.
Can you fight in the game?
20 February 2006, 02:03 UTC#6
yeah, it's pretty fustrating when you get in fights with the cop like people, called CCKs
20 February 2006, 02:04 UTC#7
Arg this game is gonna comercialise graffiti to fuck. Same as what Tony Hawk did to skating.

really? cause no one hardly knows bout this game. as far as I know, I'm the only one in my town that has played it.

lol gay, I didn't even kno about it, I went to rent a game and saw it, all the copies were in. maybe you're right kane, I feel ashamed to have said it was a fun game. I'm making an art trendy. it's just fun, I can never go out here and spray something cool on a wall, it makes me feel like I'm in a simulation for indecline.

It might be a good game, I dunno I'll have to download it. It's just the graff scene is turning pretty wank right now, and I can't see this helping.
20 February 2006, 02:31 UTC#12
I dunno, it's kinda like that guitar hero game, while playing you could kick ass, but in reality, you're gonna suck, so don't try.

I agree with kane in some ways, people will love the game and only play that, meaning graffiti on the streets will die down... OR people will get the urge from the game to do graff, and there will be a whole load more.
20 February 2006, 08:02 UTC#14
The names so suggestive aye..

I've been thinking about checking out this game. I saw it in the rental shop a while ago. It looks pretty cool, but a bit hard to understand the logistics of it.

it's extremely fun tho, but I don't see how it would make graffiti die, I believe kane was talking about how it'll be a huge trendy "I'm a leet grafiti arts mastur!!1" starter. he could be correct, since everyone thinks they can skate because they played tony hawk, that annoys me more than anything.

its fun
