I got my DVC30 today! I'm going to post screenshots and video clips later when I do a thorough review, but for now I'll just give youthe basic run down.

The camera is very small, perfect for filming on the go...which most of us do.

The nightshot is 100% legit. It looks awesome! It doesnt slow the shutter speed at all. Instead of that green look, it goes to black and white. I'm not sure if that is a pro or a con...I have no complaints.

It has great low light performance. I've tested it out only a little in this area, but from what I've seen, its very capable of shooting at night in low light conditions. The footage looks go enough for me to use in my DVD.

The body is solid and rugged. Much more solid than other pro cams Ive used. It has a magnesium chassis and is a bit heavy, but nothing substantial.

Unlike most low-end prosumer cams, the DVC30 has a port for an XLR mic. This will make very easy to upgrade and I think I'm gonna do it when I get more cash.

The only thing I dont like is the camera makes a clunk sound when its not on. But once its on, it doesnt make the sound anymore. I need to do some research and see if this is normal.

I reccomend this camera to every group who is looking to go pro but is on a tight budget. I got mine for $1450, no shipping no tax. It was refurbished, but it had 0 hours on it.

You can get a brand new one for $1575 including shipping and insurance...but the seller will try to upsell you on buisness calls and is late on shipping. Its a great deal, but its a hassle. Theyve done 5,000 sells so theyre legit...just assholes.

B&H sells one new for around $1700...but it comes with a mail-in-rebate for like $200. This is a good deal, but you need to jump on it quick because the rebate expires at the end of March.

hmm what do you mean? The thing was professionally packaged in a huge box loaded to the top with those little packaging bubbles. It only took 4 buisness days to get here by the way, and that was on free shipping. The guys I bought it from are totally legit.

O well in that case BRAVO! just that theres usually a 50% chance that its fucked up someway or something doesnt make sense ya know. BUT I just cant wait to see some footage

sa weet! I prefer black and white night shot to the green stuff, normally change it to black and white anyway, looks nicer.

Nah that was just one with some basic upgrades. I believe you can get the XLR mic for $200...which is a great deal in my opinion. Below is a picture of what mine looks like.

I cant post a pic of it in my hands because I have no other camera to film it. Actually..I might be able to use that helmet cam...and plug it into the AV in/out. I have to get ready for work so I'll do this later on.

Right now there is a killer deal on it.... I really wish I waited a week later cause I wouldve been able to get a brand new one for only a bit more... and the seller has perfect feedback. If you wanna get this cam... here is your chance... Ive been watching ebay for 6 months now for a good deal on this cam... and these guys just showed up ... Id jump on this while you can..

I havent seen these cams in PAL version on ebay though..

I cant just walk out my door and magically make crazy shit happen. I've said a dozen times before that it doesnt work that way for me. I just live my life and bring the camera along with me when I do shit with my friends... and the footage comes naturally. But now both of my friends live 2 hours away in opposite directions..

Also... Im not really comfortable with the idea of walkin around downtown with a $1500 cam in my hand. I would be fucked if someone jacked it..

Shit will happen, its just gonna take time.
