Groups are getting 30% of Gross, originally Moody tried to rip all the groups off and not offer anything, then that went to 15% NET then finally after kicking and screaming he agreed to 30% of Gross. Which basically means it doesnt matter what the overheads or costs were, groups get 30% of the money that comes back.

I'm hesistant on dropping this kind of money. if the dvd takes off and brings in revenue, I'll do it but right now I have to handle business, and create more product with my money.
if some of you guys stopped wasting time bitching all day and help promote instead with that wasted time, it would help get this dvd off the ground with some promotion, making this happen will be a little easier.

im not saying it's up to you guys, just help promote it however you can, like myspace or email the link out to websites or post it on forums. stuff like that.

the fact that im on the grind producing 3 or 4 new dvds and also working on other entertainment projects. money is tight until more product goes out.

All I know is so far the trailor and cover art is much better than I expected, so aslong as the dvd is too along with promotion none of us really have a reason to bitch bout Moody. He's probably the only person that has made a dvd of just homegrown groups, hes doing us all a favour hes getting the scene noticed. And so far I think hes done quite a good job, sure theres some deadlines that havnt been met, and a few bits were taken out etc, but hes not a huge big shot hollywood producer who has a huge budget and a huge team behind him, so hes done good cos you have to expect problems to occur etc.

I enjoyed the trailer, and regardless of my comment on the cover, it's not too bad.
I just don't understand why you talk about being hesitant to spend money, but then mention that you are going to make two different DVD covers (one for internet, one for distribution).
Wouldn't it save you money if you just made one cover and got it over and done with? I mean, why have a gorier cover for your target audience who is going to be more interested in the DVD for it's actual content rather than a box they can't really see properly until they have already paid for it and it arrives in the mail?
Seems to just make more sense to make one slick, general use cover and save some $$$ (or spend it on advertising).

I was thinking the printing would be cheaper as most pronters give pretty big price breaks the longer the run is.

I liked the big dan G but I wanted to see the pic of him drilling his arm instead.... If I saw a dvd with a mutherfucker drilling his arm on the cover, id buy it in a second...
