A couple of people contacted me recently about producing DVDs of just their group or a dvd with other groups involved. If there's a strong enough interest in it from a few good groups I'll hear it out and handle all the producing with a new editor but that's up to the groups and it's best for everybody to see this finished product I feel. But if people are interested and they have footage ready to go, then you can contact me about it

the big promotion starts today.

the only way I can think of moving it up a notch or two is by posting it on forums, websites like ifilm or big-boys. unfrortunately, for some reason my computer always times out when I upload to websites so if somebody can post the video on some video websites, that would be great.

anybody have some suggestions?

eh...I'll give you a tip Moody. If you are serious about making cash off of online sales, you need to start up an affiliate program, and be prepared to dish out 50% commissions. Set that up and then contact all the major 'humor' sites and see if they will sign up. Affiliate programs are a standard in the e-commerce world...its your best shot at success in terms of online sales.

Just make sure your site and trailer are top notch so that you can get high conversion rates on your traffic..

Moody, do you have numbers for how many hits your sites get/how many people have downloaded the trailer?

Can someone get the trailer on Ebaumsworld or break.com?

in terms of wrestling affiliate programs, I think the standard is 10% so 50% sounds way too much.

do you have the software or know the program that will do this?

The website wrote this not me but here it is...

Faygoluvers.net:

New DVD: "The HomeGrown Collection": That killa Michael Moody of HollyMood Entertainment wanted to let Juggalos and Juggalettes know about a new DVD that has been put together called "The HomeGrown Collection". The DVD consists of footage of people causing themselves pain, playing pranks, and some pretty amazing stunts. If you wanna check the trailer out, or pick up the DVD, just hit up HollyMoodEntertainment.com!

With 10% commissions you wont get very far. Major websites wont waste their time with that, and its major websites you want...as they are the ones with all that traffic.

I know of a distributor who might be interested in your product, he runs a website that sells a variety of 'shock' videos and is always looking for new product. This is his website - http://www.thiswillshockyou.com/main.html

Now check out his affiliate program he setup himself - http://www.shockbucks.com/

He offers 60% commissions on his own products. Thats a big commission, but then again...youre making about the same as you would with a standard distributor.

Now check out one of the websites who have signed up on his affiliate program - http://www.wtfpeople.com

Alexa Ranking - http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_...l=wtfpeople.com

This website has an Alexa ranking in the top 11,000. It's huge. It attracts millions and millions of people every month. Now there is over a dozen sites like this that are signed up with his affiliate program.

Because of all these major sites working with him, his website has now become more popular than bumfights.com...

The key to online sales is traffic and high conversions. Use an affiliate program to get the traffic, and create a kickass site + kickass product to get the high conversion rates. That is the key to success in e-commerce. You cant sell a product without people being exposed to it...

You'll need to hire someone who knows how to setup an affiliate program. I dont have experience in using them, I just know how they work.

Im sure the owner of http://www.thiswillshockyou.com will give you the run down on how it all works man. It's not easy, but it is worth the trouble if you really wanna make cash in online sales.

___________________________________________________________________________

On another note, later this month I am launching a shock site of my own that will likely be attracting hundreds of thousands of viewers per month. If you're interested, we're offering extremely affordable advertising and plugs. Our viewers will be the exact type of audience you're looking for.

If you do in fact credit HGF in the DVD, I'll give you some free advertising as well..

The big press release day got moved back to Wednesday of next week. I had to rewrite the press release and select a new day to drop it to the media. Waiting to see the results of the press release will be interesting because it's going to be posted in a lot of places.

Arsemarks are working on the Homegrown Myspace page.

Anybody have any luck getting the trailer posted on linkswarm, big-boys, break or anywhere else?
