Ok, the house fire that happened about a year ago. My halo cd was on the desk and it got destroyed. I have the case with the product key, just no cd. Does anyone know if/where I can download the game, and use the serial, or not have to use the serial?

Also I am downloading it through limewire right now, but it is an ISO file, and I have no clue what that is.

Man, use torrents. You would be able to find it in under a minute on all torrent search engines. I really don't have the time to explain them, but google 'torrents' or something. Trust me, its all I've been personally using for the last few months now, its great for downloading large files such as music albums, dvds, and my personal favourite- 10gb's of ren and stimpy episodes and extras. w00t!

The ISO will need a program to 'mount the image' or some shit. Try Deamon tools and look for how too use it. nuggeto will prob know more, I cant understand it all really.

an iso file is a cd image. download alcohol 120% and you can use that to either burn it to a disk or create a virtual device to mount it to, as skipper says.

Well I use a program called azureus. Its the best free one I have tried, no problems whatsoever. All you do is search for and download the torrent file of the program/game/e.t.c. you want, then open that with azureus, or your torrent manager. From then on its as easy as downloading it. Its basically like limewire, but I find it to be alot more flexible and it allows you to download HUGE files at once.

Well if this ISO file is the right thing, will that work? Because if not I'll go download azureus and try that way.

Yeh it will work aslong as u get a program that will mount the iso. like deamon tools or alcohol 120% or whtever the virgin said.

Yes it should work, just as long as you do have a program like alcohol 120% that can create a virtual device to mount the file to. What an iso file is, is a copy of the disk made into one sole file. So say you created n image of a dvd- all the video files, audio files ad shizz would be made into one .iso file, or whatever the image file happens to be. To open that image file again, all you do is either-

A. burn that image file onto a cd/dvd and then play it using your pc.

B. go into alcohol 120% and under options make a virtual drive/device (that's just the device like your cd drive, but one you can play image files stored on your pc from). After making that device, go into my computer, right-click the drive, select mount, then choose the image file. The image file in this case will again be the .iso file, but they can have all diferent extensions depending on the program you use to creat the image of the selected disk.

Hope that helps.

By mount do you mean burn to cd? Because I don't have a cd burner.

Thats why you create a 'virtual drive' and it mounts on to that, then it can be played without a disk.

I sound geeky :(

Nope, by mount I mean 'open with' the virtual drive you have to create using alcohol 120%. Again, My nerdness has a limit, so search google for thousands of manuals to do this.

Don't listen to skipper, he plays with his balls. =)
