Yeah spoiled bastard. One of my mates has a Dodge Ram1500, pretty cool thing as well. But way too expensive to drive. Drives 1 on 4 (km). Costs like 1 euro per kilometer haha gay shit.

Nice looking car Tom.

No offense to anyone but I have always wondered why so many people drive pickups in America? Wouldn't it be much easier in all ways to have a roof over the whole lenght of the car?
I mean, aren't there a bunch of disadvantages compared to a normal car?
-You can't really leave anything on the bed when you park the car without being worried that someones gonna steal it from there.
-Everything you keep back there will catch dust and dirt from the road
-Rain/Snow will ruin whatever you keep back there
-You have to pack everything carefully so it doesn't fall of from bumps
-You can't keep really light items back there because the wind will get to them
-Not really suited for transporting a larger amount of people, unless you wanna put them back on the bed..
Ok, I know that you can cover the back with a hood, but wouldn't it just be easier with a roof?

Someone explain to me why a pickup is better than a regular car with a roof? Are they cheaper or what is it?

Its a status thing. People with pickups and big vehicles tend to think they are tougher and more important than other people. Image file not present in the recovered backup

But they also have to have a ton of money to keep it going, as a lot of pickups go through fuel faster than you can urinate.

Where I live, a truck is very useful.
-people don't steal shit if you have a cap over it or it's woodchips, dirt, or something like that. People don't usually steal from you where I live anyways, but they're really useful when you buy something big and you need to bring it home.
-cover it with a tarp if you need it clean from dust? I don't know, roads are pretty clean for the most part, it's not like you come home and your stuff is covered in dirt.
-You don't leave stuff in forever, it's just good for moving big stuff.
-Bungee chords solve this problem.
-they go in the cab or in a plastic container made for truck beds
-More people can fit than in a 2 door sports car, and some trucks have back seats

They can also be 4 wheel drive, which is really good when the roads are icy as hell or you're driving on some shitty dirt road.

The only bad part about driving a truck is gas prices, and sometimes lack of space in the cab, but overall I guess it all just depends on where you live.

Thanks for the answer Wilbur. Nice to see that not everyone takes it as an insult when someone questions the need of pickups :)

You could've just read through my post completely, and realized that not at any point did I mention anything about fat people or hating America. I even started the whole post with "no offense" and asked why pickups are so popular. I even said Tom's car was nice looking. And the part with me being English just went over my head..
