Okay, I just went into the Licensing office today and got a booking for my restricted license on the 8th of February.
I'm so sure im gonna fail, I'll fucking stall or something.
For those who dont know, in New Zealand there are three licences you have to get. The first is the learner licence, where you have to drive with a supervisor at all time. You have that for 6 months.
Restriced is the next one, where I can drive by meself. Have that for 18 months.
Then theres the full licence, which is your normal licence.

Good luck man! I've applied for my provisional, then when I go to the UK I should have it. Afterwards, I can take my test. I want a UK license as over here trying to get one is like trying to get a diploma. I can't wait to drive!

So u can use a British liscence over there perminatly?

I got my final license a few weeks ago. I had a temporary one for almost 2 years before that though

PS: Is a provisional licence sort of like what I'm going for?
Learner: Can apply at 15 yo.
Restricted: Can apply at 15 yrs 6 mths

To tell the truth I dont actually know what a provisional liscence does (you can apply for it at 16 and you can ride a ped legally on it but thats all I know tbh) not sure how it applies to cars

It would be so fucked up trying to drive in Britain. I swear I wouldn't survive for more than 10 minutes before accidentally switching to the right lane where the rest of the world drives, and crash into a doubledecker with my Mini

British license can be used all over Europe permanently.
There are some laws (dependant on which country) which won't allow you to drive in countries if you haven't held a full licence for a certain number of years.

Was meant to start driving on my birthday at the end of november in 05. BUt couldn't cause of my knee... Booked my first lesson after my knee for last sunday... and I got fucking meningitis...
I'm destined not to drive.
good luck though bro, it would be lush to only have to be 15 to drive over here you gotta be 17 before you start learning unless takin like an advanced class on a track. But to be honest I wouldn't feel safe with 15 year olds driving around dunno about you lot.
