I have a question regarding our website. Check out
www.ripoffvideo.com and tell me if you see the 'iframe/update text' on the front page once you've entered the site.
I have no problems seeing it while using Firefox, but when I use IE, the iframe doesn't show up at all (IE fucks up other things too in there). What am I doing wrong? I have built the site with Dreamweaver, so it might be something with the code... Any help would be appreciated.

edit: Feel free to comment the site in this thread too! It's still kinda new, and I would like to hear your opinions about it.

I love the colour scheme and the text, nice site
Im using FF, but ill look in IE now....
EDIT: the rest of the site is fine except the iFrame, that just doesnt load up

Forme the iframe is real small... not sure if it is meant to be.... But it does not fit in the window right... Also the links do not open in the iframe... so seems pointles to me to ahve a iframe

Awesome looking site.
The reason it doesn't load correctly in IE is because you're using a frameset instead of an iframe. Don't use framesets.
Try this;
Remove:
CODE
<frame src="update.htm" name="mainFrame">
Add below:
CODE
<noframes>
This:
CODE
<iframe src="update.htm" width="xxxpx" height="xxxpx" align="left right or center here" scrolling="yes or no" frameborder="no"></iframe>
Let me know if that works. Replace the iframe parts with what's relevant.

The site seems to show up different on everyone's displays. I haven't fixed anything yet, but I have to give Gman's advice a try. Thanks for everyone's contributions so far by the way!
edit: holy crap.. the site looks horrible in the screen cap Doyle posted Image file not present in the recovered backup

I tried changing the dimensions of the iframe from % to pixels first, and it appears to have helped. At least it shows up in IE for me now (Gman's your advice seemed a little complicated for me so I tried this first
).
How does it look for you guys now?

yeah man the % worked alot better. It looks ok now. You still need the links to open up in the iFrame though

I'm not sure if I know how to do that. Do you just change the frame the pages open in from "mainFrame" to "iframe" or something along those lines?
I should probably make the rest of the pages on the site smaller to fit the iframe though before I change it

I like the site apart from that top right image.... It just looks out of place to me. Anyway you can change the effect of it?

You mean the black and white one? I was looking for an effect that would make it look like something torn out from a newspaper and then enlargened it, so that the small dots would be clearly visible for the eye, but I didn't find an effect like that at the time so I decided for that effect instead. Now I know how to make that newspaper print effect, so I might change it soon. (I can't remember right now what the effect is called, but I've used it in the attachment in this post)
And it does look a little out of place, I agree, because I made it while I still thought that a popup window site would be the way to go

yeah man... it just looks very out of place... and that effect I have seen so many times...
I personaly like popup sites
