ok...so myself, Justin, and Shockley decided that our thoughts on moving to Cali need to become real...we have invited Adem...and come June...we will be driving out to Los Angeles...what I wanna know is...who lives near that map and would let us crash a nite with them on the way...it can be a little out of the way and be fine...also...does anyone live in the L.A. area and wanna let us crash a day or two until we can get an APT?

If I had a bigger place I'd let you guys crash here...but my place is only 600 square feet and I share it with my girlfriend. Its like...as big as a studio.

btw Rob, you should check out craigslist.com for apartments. Thats how I found mine.

its cool man...ill probably be sharing a studio size apt with 2 guys...haha...ill check out craigs list...got any reccomendations on places to get an apt...like areas...

wherever we are...YES...if the band we are doing work for signs to go on this europe tour, we wont be leaving till august...

(we are still trying to talk Adem into going with us...he is undecided)

Alright I can give you some tips. There are some affordable places in North Hollywood. When you go on craigslist, search 'Wilshire'. You should find studios and 1 bedrooms around a $1,000 a month. Santa Monica, Downtown, Sunset Blvd....stay away from all those places. You wont find anything cheaper than $1500+.

Also, unless you have established credit and a good income, you will need a parent to co-sign on the lease. No one will rent to you otherwise. So they'll do a credit check and if you're approved then you'll get the place.

You will also need some cash set aside for a deposit. I would say somewhere around $500 should cover it.

There are some cheaper areas that arent completely ghetto. Koreatown, which is just a minute away from Hollywood Blvd, has studios for like $700 a month. So when you search on craigslist, you also might wanna try searching Koreatown.

No Mercy lives about 10 minutes away from Los Angeles in Downey. He might be willing to help you out. The only other person I can think of is Michael Moody, who lives about 20 minutes away.

thanks man...I appreciate the help alot...im going to check out craigs list and see what I can do...Is KoreaTown decent?? like I wont fear my life in my own apt?...I dont care if its a little scummy...as long as its somewhat 'safe'...

Well, its loaded up with minorities. I was originally going to move there and I didnt see anything that bad. There are loads of hookers that come out at night. Which probalyl goes hand in hand with pimps and crackheads. I dont know if you see that as a plus or negative heh.

Anyways, if you go towards the outskirts where Hollywood borders, you should be able to find something safe and still affordable.
