Yesterday in school they gathered everyone in our year to tell us that Sam[gomp] is in hospital and is worried to have Meningitis. This is a very serious illness to have but we were told that he is stable at the moment and everything should be alright.
This sucks because he has had alot of shit with hospitals and stuff and its so unfortunate to see it happen to a great guy..
Can people post their thoughts and feelings, something nice for him to see when this all blows over.

Nah honestly, I hope he gets better. A old school mate of mine got meningitis. He was in hospital for a week. Everyone thought he wouldnt make it. Luckily he did.

He may be out tomorrow depending on the severity of the condition and his recovery. I'll keep this updated as best I can.

About 300 kids from another school in the bay have all stayed off... and I was the last one to touch Sam before he went..
The school said to us "If you made ANY contact with Sam, tell us"
I assume I'm fine, right?

Fuck, that's shitty, maybe it's just precautionary, I don't it's contageous because my mate was walking around in town and stuff, I doubt the hospital would let her out if they thought she had it.

Apparently it is transmitted though saliva.. so if they lick their fingers and touch you then its illtown.

Meningitis is contagious. It can be spread by coming into contact with an infected person's respiratory secretions. Small children who are not yet toilet trained and their caretakers may also spread the virus.
Not everyone who is infected with meningitis will actually get the disease. Therefore, it is not always obvious when you are at risk for infection.

HEy guysim in hospital on someshitty touchpad keyboard thing. it didnt have the square brackets so tom madethis acc 4 me. thank u all 4 your kind words its nice 2 see. I got it 4 real. rashes, sickness passing out and a temperatue of 40. but like I say im making rapid progress cause we caught it early. got a consant fluid drip and anti biotics in the other arm. and allthe drugs I could ask 4. I got morphine but it did shit all
. AT least ican be thankful that iwas not hospitalised due to my own stupidity nor willi have any remaining scars memoriesor psycological problems.
