This is the last thing I edited...was about 1 month ago. I released it on my site back then, but figured I'd share it over here. Its only like 20 seconds long...as I said...I got editing block and couldn't finish it.

For those who remember by Halloween Beatdown thread where I talked about how I got jumped by nearly a dozen fags....some of the aftermath can be seen and heard in this clip.

http://www.blixfilms.com/video/epic.wmv

and I have no idea why I titled it 'epic'...just the first thing that came to mind.

EDIT: NEW WORKING LINK - http://www.efukt.com/Epic.wmv

Very good for what it's worth, not much to comment on but good clip.

I know your tricks though, these very short clips are meant to make people desperately want to see weaksister and your DVD, and it works.

Where do you get your ideas/music/influence from?

Thats a hard quesiton to answer. I'm not really sure..

Ever since I was a kid I've been really into movies and thats what motivated me to start making my own. As I got older I sorta drifted away from making short films and started focusing more on filming my life. Thats what led me to homegrown....I looked at it as a documentary.

By the time I developed some skill...my friends and I were way more interested in filming ourselves fucking around than short films. That zombie film we did was sorta just a 1 day shot to see how far we've come. We were all really impressed, and wanted to go back to making shorts but at the same time WS was officially dead and the crew was movingon with their lives..

So to answer your question...I suppose alot of what you see in my work is a reflection of my passion for feature films. Thats where the dramatic music and ideas come from. I edit promos as if they were trailers for a real film. I guess I just do that naturally.

Alot of people on here dont seem to be exposed to the many types of music out there. I think the music makes a huge difference in the final product, and sadly many groups end up using generic punk rock or hardcore...or whatever is popular at the time.

One tip I will share with you is that I focus alot on audio. Not just the music, Im talking about everything...volume, sound effects, multiple layers, mixing...it makes a huge difference. I see people throwing in all kinds of effects into their videos...but no audio to match up the effect. If you added an appropriate sound bite...it brings that effect more to life.

This video may not be the best example of that, but you get the idea..

thanks for the feedback everyone

I told you this before but....

"IMA BLEEDIN' ALL OFA DA PLAYCE"

Hah that bit cracks me up everytime.

I love this video and its kinda gay that it ends so soon, just when its getting into it it stops...

The titles at the start look really proffesional, very nice. And the music is perfect, along with the continued speech over the "sex-scene" at the start.

Can't wait for the DVD dude, best group out by a mile.

Awhile back my girlfriend witnessed a crazy car accident as she was driving. A volkswagon bus hit a big rig head on. She called me up and I went down there and filmed them pull the dead guy out. Here is a pic of the damage.

You'll never dissapoint  The audio flows really nicely, the background song is really atmospheric. Wish it was longer though, but as G said, it's a good way to build up to the DVD.

As someone said already, the audio worked well, but I didn't get a hang of this video at all. Too short and the part where it ended seemed like someone chopped the tape off all of a sudden. All I remember was someone bleeding a lot and an ambulance. Sorry but this video just wasn't my thing, but seems like I'm the only one to think so this far. Anyway, good luck with the dvd, looks like you're gonna get loads of buyers for it.

^edit: didn't see the 'unfinished' and the 'editing block' part so I take my last post back. The audio was still good, can't comment on much else.
