When I first played Burnout 3:Takedown, I though " Shit, this is the best game EVER!"

Not so wit this one. Though tons of Magazines have been giving it awesome scores and shit, I don't really think its the step up its advertised as.

First thing, CRASH MODE. I liked it in the first game as it was quicker, easier (cash multipliers) and didn't take long to load. In B:R ( as it will be referred to from here-on out), you miss any cars (which always happens, unless your'e the shit) points are deducted from you total. Once you crash, you have to sit for AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGES watching cars smash up (which isn't as interesting as it sounds). Unfun.

Second thing, Being able to take out same-way traffic. It takes the challengeout of Burnout, 4 fux sake. The whole point to Burnout was to go as pants-shittingly fast as possible without hitting cars. Now in B:R, they REWARD you for hitting same-way traffic. It's like your parents telling you not to smoke for 15 years, then on your sixteen birthday, they buy smokes and give you 50 cents for every one you smoke after that.

The one good thing is the racing which is still as good as ever.

Most mags are giving 9 or 10 out of 10.

Me: 8/10

Ill agree with you on the crash thing...I preferd the pickups in the previous Burnout but the target car is a pretty good idea, whereas the boost bar at the beginning is just wasted as its way too easy!
As far as the being able to hit traffic goes im neither for or against it I think its just something new, not necessarily any better or worse

Yeah, I decided to buy Takedown (3) a few weeks ago because it was cheaper and I'd played it a few times before, and I liked it a lot... Well, after I got it, I beat it in 20 hours total playing time, and that's with playing crash mode when I got bored with the world tour. But, still it's a good game, and I played the demo for Revenge, and it still seemed pretty sweet.

Man I could never complete it in taht time... damn. I find it is a game I can play anytime though... which is why I like it so much. It has alot of replay value I think

I have to agree... Burnout 3 is the better game.

I miss having to dodge traffic rather than slam into it.

Do. It's still good as fuck. I just hate some parts of it like I hate a certain HAPPY person.

It looks better. But not revolutionary.
