lolol I still do it the old fashioned way .. select and area , raise the hue, selct another , raise the hue ... takes ages

I cant seem to fucking do it. I can do the strips of colour, but when I do filter > distort > polar whatever....I just get one line from the layer that's selected.
How the FUCK do I do this. I fucking hate Photoshit..

I was about to ask exactly the same question. I followed the tutorial exactly, however it only polarises the last duplicated layer as that's what was selected. Unselecting it just makes it so photoshop does nothing at all.

I didnt merge shit .. no point in duplicating layers , just draw all the boxes on the same layer. Just set the marquee tool to "fixed size" and move it across, that tut was shit.

The only bad thing about this effect is that it distorts the lines and they lose their quality the further out the stretch...

normally gets rid of edges

the unsharpened mask is the better options, the blur is ok for single tone pictures , but it gives a different effect for multi tonal pics
