I've heard it from a lot of people that soon Microsoft is gonna be recalling the xbox 360.. a couple people said it's a fire hazard.. which I doubt but they do get pretty warm... other people say its just the power cords getting recalled. I'm just wondering if anybody else heard anything..

They can learn a lot from the original Xbox which had parts recalled for the same reason

Oh wait

I guess they can't

Apparently a few suffer from overheating problems, I'm not suprised considering they packed a 3GHz treble core custom processor into a space smaller than your average console.

I haven't had a prob with mine really... but it gets really hot for just playing for 30 minutes. And the cases about it melting discs when it first came out... they probably played it all day all night.

I hope all 360 owners:-

1. Spend alot of money on repairs
2. Burn all their games during gameplay
3. Burn their houses down
4. Burn, just generally

NOTE: I'm a self-confessed PS fag

I would never spend money on repairs... I'd make them give me my money back.

With your magical powers.
I have no idea about this overheating thing, I though the big black block on the power cable was supposed to stop that, mine doesn't even heat up much atall, apparently it does it more if you have it on its side rather than upright.

That "big black block" is probably an AC to DC converter, and probably steps down the voltage to the normal internal computer requirements; 12 volts.

Overheating is caused by the processor dissapating too much heat into a small case.

Basically whats happend is a few have overheated and crashed and one caught fire "apparently"
Isolated incidents tho and there is no way in hell im giving mine back.
Anf if you ask me tbph if you play a console for ages without letting it cool down your just asking for it to over heat
