Seems this company has a record of suing larger companies over patents rather than doing an honest days work.

What exactly are they suing them for? Something to do with Google Talk?

Last thing I knew, google were worth 10 billion, so it potentially could harm them. I may be wrong though..
And this company is suing people who make software which uses a technology called "VOIP", which is basically a digital chat program like skype. I doubt they'll win this case though, but you never know.
