I need your help on the hunt 3 dvd

Ok, big problem…

I planned to have 1 video for each 100 tasks on the DVD, but ive just exported videos 1 to 10 and that’s already 6.8 gig and 30 mins long. Once ive stuck it on a dvd, it takes up 1.97 gig. So im only going to be able to do 20 to 30 videos max on 4.7 gig disk.

So there is only 1 way around it. I can edit and chop all 100 videos into 1 hour long dvd. (like a mix tape), but the only way It will look good is if I put music on top (to help blend from one video to another)

As I want this to be done all Legal this means I will have to used music my local bands. So im going to need help from you guys. Does any of you know of friends or local bands who would want to have their music on a DVD? They would get their name in the credits and also the track name will show up during the DVD.

Im going to do my bit my PMing a shit load of bands on my space music....

Wont that mean videos with no sound?

Wtf are you exporting them as? When we did our DVD each task would be about 60mb for a 5 minute task :/

The videos will still have sound, I just need music to blend the cuts from video to video

adobe prem pro

Export it as Mpeg-2, then if you're making the dvd in encore, match the sound file to the sound track of the video. It's pretty much lossless compression, but still a relatively small filesize.

Im just downloading MainConcept MPEG Encoder now, then ill try and see if all 100 fit again... (so I might not need the music yet)

The one clip you're using from my team relies on sound (not music)... how will this work out?

Awsome, . A mates' band supported them a week or so ago. They weren't bad. Not my style of music though.

So wkh, you're editing all this dvd from the wmv clips? What did you save them all or something?

You could always get a duel layer DVD so you have over 8GB+ per DVD. Depends if your burner can but most do now.

Make a two dvd thing.

edit the clips into mixups then have the ones that need audio in between

Im not going to do a double or duel disk cuz that will cost to much, I aint bothered about getting this dvd out, but im only doing it cuz I know a few people want a copy... Im more than happy to do a double for hunt 4, but there is no point on hunt 3 (as I wont make any return)

Plus ive just order 100 SINGLE dvd cases lol...

For The Hunt 4 should people keep the original clips to save this problem? Like so it will be easier to put them in a DVD..

When the hunt 4 ends, I will be contacting everyone who has made the dvd within a week...to get High Q clips of them, and then plan to get the dvd done a week after that. The hunt 4 dvd will be done fast.

100 single dvd cases should only cost you around about £8, get a good deal?

I changed the files to MPEG-2 and it did bring down the size, but not enought to get 100 videos to a disk, so looks like im gana have to do a Hunt mix tape

Any word on the release of The Hunt 4?

to be honest I think its the best way anyways as id get bored watchin raw footage of tasks instead of edits..so yeah get editing man

Well... do you think you'll be selling 100 copies? Not many homegrowners here... and just a few Hunt teams are still paying attention.

You can use 2 cases and sell it together?

Put 50 vids on each dvd, and tape the 2 cases together?
