hey, got another offer for some NBC show now. The up and coming groups may want to consider contacting him. If not, whatever too. I'm not too sure what a 'viral' video is. I just tell them most of my stuff can't be aired by tv censors. If you are interested go nuts. You're welcome or something:

Subject : NBC wants your fucking hilarious viral videos

My name is Bob Stagnaro and I am a segment producer on the NBC series Most Outrageous Moments. We are looking to license funny and wacky INTERNET footage, viral video and internet commercials and bloopers and outtakes from these videos. You must own or have permission to license the video

We need videos that are VISUAL, funny and short 45 seconds maximum ( or can be edited into this length) and they must have a comedic "payoff"

To be considered you must put your videos on a VHS tape or DVD (that plays in a DVD player not on computer) and reference each clip with a name or number and a log (list) of these( so that we can tell you which clips we want to license)

Our address:

NBC Most Outrageous TV
c/o Bob Stagnaro
1438 N. Gower Street Bldg. 5, 2nd floor
Hollywood, CA 90028

Please call with any questions

I'm like "Not interested" so he says "We pay a license fee you know..."

I'm all "This isn't about the money for me man. I am looking to make good videos, not detract the meaning and incentive from them by cashing a cheque.

Sorry dude, no disrespect."

Getting paid for your work doesn't stop you from making good videos.

Getting paid for work that you're TOLD to do might, but if you do it for fun, and THEN get paid for it, isn't that just getting your fair shake?

I inquired:

QUOTE
Hello there. I'm the founder of the filming group www.boredom-induced.com

I saw that you are looking for footage for your TV show, and was wondering:

Will I still retain the rights to my footage if you were to use it on your show?

And, do you pay for footage that you use in your show?

We've got quite a bit of outragious footage that we've been collecting over the past three years, and we might be interested in sending in a DVD of some of out better clips for you to consider.

Thanks!
b.j.

He responded:

Oh snap son, he'll let you use their FedEx account. That means it's free shipping. If you five-finger the DVD, and burn it while you're playing Nintendo, we've made money for nothing!

I got this email too.

He wants a DVD or VHS tape of clips you think they might want to license, and a paper with a list of the clips with the times they start on the DVD (a "log"). He doesn't want just a DVD you'd sell to people with menus and whatnot.

nah he's a segment producer. He's not from the actual network. He creates shows (segments) for the network...the network being NBC.

lol these guys never contact me. Either they dont see my site or they dont want my footage.

I e-mailed him back saying if our site gets mentioned, we're interested. I doubt it will, but if I get a few hundred dollars off some old clips of skate bails, I'll be happy. One step closer to a 3CCD camera. :D
post #27
13 January 2006, 01:31 UTC#27
what 3ccd cam are you going for? Dvc30?
13 January 2006, 01:32 UTC#28
I'm not sure, I was thinking a used VX2000 if I find one in good condition, but if not maybe the DVC30. It'd need to be good all around, because I plan on filming a lot of different kinds of things, but I can't afford too much.

None of your sites will get plugged so I wouldnt bother pushing it too much.

Maybe in the credits if you're lucky but who watched credits anyway?
