A new law has been passed where you have to specify your real identity and name when participating in any argument on the internet. I don't understand this new legislation. What's your uptake on it?

Bush signed it as part of the patriot act. It's utterly retarded, people have the right to express their point of view without revealing their identities. What annoys me more is no American has the balls to oppose these stupid new laws.

Well, it's supposedly supposed to be global. I doubt they can enforce this in Europe though as the EU would never allow all this patriotic crap over here.

Dan, do you know if this shit for real? As in a law that will actually be enforced? I cant even imagine how this would work. According to this website, anonymously annoying someone is a federal crime, does that mean the FBI will handle it? How ridiculous...the FBI wasting their time on something so petty.

I don’t see how the feds would enforce this at all. The FBI has much bigger things to take care of then this, such as bank robberies and terrorism. The thing this is prolly linked most to is spamming and an attempt to stop it. Yes it is a real law from my understanding but its basically un-enforceable. Like many states have laws against oral sex... how do you enforce that. I will look more into this and see what I can find.

I dont think it will work... Its prob just a law to fuck over people who they cant arrest anyother way. I guess everyone abuses someone on forums sometime or another... so this way they can fuck you over.
