I wouldnt get it if you care about low light performance. All consumer cameras do shit in low light conditions aside from those made by Sony...and maybe some Canons.

all the canon consumer cams iv used are utter crap in low light
film inside and its like your in a room of thick smoke when you playback
I think sonys the way to go man, I should know, I film in all weathers in hemel and its mostly shit

yeah the only reason I say maybe some Canons is cause ive never used any of them. I assumed they were crap in low light, but wasnt sure.

I have a very similiar camera to that, PV-GS19, I think the one up there also has zoom microphone, which follows your zoom when filming, the sound is really good, I haven't had the "Crappy Home Movie" sounding audio yet

If you need low light capabilities, then you should probably get a differnet one . I have tried myne in low light, it works well, but its a bit laggy. Your might be slightly better, that looks to me like the next version up.

Panasonic's are very good, my college has them, I've used it and it's really fucking good for it's price.
I'mma buy one soon..

So does anyone know of any cheap sony cameras that are still good in low light cos atm im unemployed and seriously budgeted

nar you cant really get sony's for cheap you pay more for the lable more than anything I suggest you check out ebay it will be your best bet for a cheap decent cam

Whats your price range, I have a bulkyish camera that I might consider selling, it has VERY good low light confitions, and has night vision.

Sony DCR-HC32 check out that one I was reading about it and it only costs an extra $80 the guy said it so much better.
im looking 4 a cam myself at the mo I launched my last off a building by accident lol

if thats a Sony PAL Digital 8 cam with firewire port (AV OUT), then its a alright cam, see what kind of money he wants for it first

yeah actually one of our membes recently bought that camera and is returning soon the lighting is sketchy and the night shot is ither to dark or skips in playback id go with a sony im savin up for their new hd cam so dont get the panasonic
