Disseray From The Bay

Okay, I just got this dvd in the mail today and it isn't as bad as people make it out to be honestly.

Okay let me break it down to you guys who don't know about SPDST, they filmed most of there fist dvd at school or just filming not knowing they were even gonna make a dvd, so whith this in mind I went into it with low expectations. But they turned out to be pretty wrong. This dvd is pretty tight, you have to remember though it was made like 2002 and this was before all these other groups came out. They were one of the first, fuck look at johneh his member number is like 19.

Honestly the dvd should have been cut in half and then it was have been pretty bad ass, they used the slow mo feature a bit to much but had some funny things in there and some good stunts.

Water Bottle prank was actually really funny (water bottle with hole in top they talk to people and spray the water on there pants without the people relizing it).

I would have only used a few of the GT with wheels clips but it wasn't that bad, on this machine you either end up face planting or getting racked so it made for some good footage.

The downhill shopping carts were pretty good to, seeing as that would be scary as all fuck.

There GT on snow was some awsome footage though. The skate park was pretty weak cause it was so small.

The only real problem I have with this dvd was all the filler and the extra long parts that didn't need to be to long, as well as the slow mo on things that didn't require it honestly.

If you are a collector definatly get this dvd, not that bad really, but if your just someone who is thinking this will be like the trailer for SPDST 2 it really isn't, there isn't any real "stunts" like you see there, it's mostly GT and filler, I really can't wait for SPDST 2 that will be the fucking bomb.

P.S. I havn't watched the bonus features yet but I will later on tonight.

Good review man. I havn't watched this DVD yet, I'll be getting one from their second edition tho.

pretty much sums it up. but I felt the same when I watched it. try rewatching it. you'll end up hittin fastforward too much

Yeah I could totally see that happening, but it will be cool for watching once and awhile.

hahah glad u liked the video man, hell sometimes I cant watch it, but yeah we were about 17 when we made Dissaray from the Bay...out of highschool no less...hahaha the actual first unreleased SPDST video was a project for tech class....now we're in our early 20's, and we're still givin'er and SPDST 2:Untsoppable will not dissapoint

for the distro that did CKY? Dan showed me the link and I ran it by Damien, so we're gonna see whats up with them. But im going to say that the video is done, the only thing holding it back is finding a good distro place...we can stay with indiepool, but thats kinda chincy
