Im planning to buy a camera this week, but I have a lot of options and I cant decide.
First I have this used camera, a JVC GR-DVM90. (http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-JVC_GR_DVM90 )
Its coming with a fisheye, filter, SD Memory, Remote Control and all that shit for like.. 300$. Its a fucking good deal, but its used and I dont know..
Then I have this Panasonic PV-GS35 (http://www.dealtime.com/xPR-PV_GS35) at a very good price.
My other option its the Samsung SCD353

My final and still favorite its deh Sony DCR-HC90, it has nightshot, good specs, good image quality.. and its not used.. (http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-Handycam_DCR_HC90)
I dont know, so.. please help me! =)

They still make DVM90's? I owned one of those 5 years ago, I thought they got discontinued.
Anyways, I would definitely go with the GR-DVM90. I dont know why, but for some reason JVC decided to give the DVM90 a progressive scan CCD. Progressive Scan is the same thing as deinterlaced video. It films 30 full frames a second instead of 60 interlaced. People say this gives your footage a "film look"...all I know is it is a cool feature...
Its a good camera. I'd get that.
2nd best is the Sony HC90.

I didnt. I owned one and it had Progressive Scan...if I remember correctly.

Fuck.. the JVC looks pretty good, and its a good deal. But I dont trust in used products, and it doesnt have nightshot..
You say that the jvc its better than the sony?

Oh I didnt see that you said it was used. Although that deal looks tempting, you're probally right that it's best to stay away from used equipment. So yeah...go with the Sony.
And nah, the JVC isnt exactly better. It does really shitty in low light conditions. But when I owned one I loved it because I could just put it in my pocket when I would go skateboarding with my friends. With bigger cams Id have to bring a backpack and shit...and I couldnt get the cam out as quickly to film random stuff.

Yeah, but that's an advantage. go for the sony. I used my friend's panasonic the other day to film a show by a local band for their DVD I'm making, and it fucking sucked in low light, but my sony did alright. Image file not present in the recovered backup

Do any of these have an external mic jack? These are hella useful.
I hate it when people shoot scenes.skits with bad, far away or echo-y audio. With an external mic jack you can build your own boom for crazy cheap and get great sound.
