In some cases yes, but if there is reason to believe a crime of a very serious nature happened they can get search warrants to get into the site without the admin knowing they are under federal law. Law enforcement can argue if that the admin knew they wanted in, the admin would destroy all the evidence that would make a case. This is usually only done for like terrorist groups and such that pose a national threat or something of a VERY serious felony nature such as murder or child porn.
Bear in mind nothing that is on here or any of your sites is of such serious nature that would warrant them doing this.

Profiles were disabled to stop bots harvesting e-mail addresses for spam purposes, and to stop new users spamming also.
I don't see them being disabled as an issue, if you want someones MSN address PM them.

Wouldn't work as all emails are auto stored by the board, and people add emails to their profiles.

Just take away the the e-mail part in profile? I thought you could... I know they will be tehre in edit profile but so what... they cant get into your database? Just a idea
