Has anyone used this before? And tell me how you actually use it also how well does it improve your night vision?

Also if anyone knows any other sites which sell it any cheaper could you post the link please?

Or should I just get a light for my camera? If so…what do you recommend

Everything was going ok with the site … until Smart FTP stopped working but after fiddling with the settings on Norten I got it to work

But when I tried linking the news page to the Iframe the news page seems to not work

It should be http://www.uw.leedoyle.com/news.php but it does not display anymore

Microphones

Well I am interested in purchasing a microphone and wondered if anyone had the microphone which the sound zooms in when you zoom in on the camera…if so does it work well?

Also does anyone know were you could buy a small clip on mic so say if you were talking to some one from a long distance away from the camera the camera would pick up the sound from your tiny microphone connected to you.

I've never used it, but nightshot kinda sucks anyways, since there's no color and it's usually hard to see what's going on. Buy a good light if you can.


He hooked it up to a VCR and recorded with that while he shot the camera.

I have something simalar on my cam... its a night vision/ normal light
it has the infrared lights on the side and white light in the middle

and I love it, if you film late at night its great becaude your night vision is sooo much brighter and the normal light is nice and bright too for not so well light areas. unfortunatley I donno where to get one simalar to mine but if you need a light the one like I have is almost everything I need..

Sony's nighvision feature is awesome. With one of those attached, it extends your range significantly. I used a smaller one like Brents and was very pleased with the results. To use it you simply mount it on top of your camera, put your camera in nightshot mode...and thats it. Youll need an extra batter to power it btw.



I hooked up the camera to another camera that had AV input, and used the 2nd camera as a recording deck.



The zoom-in microphones are usually shitty, I'd stay away from those.

And the 2nd thing youre talking about is called a lavalier mic. I've used them a few times in the past, but Im not very familiar with them. All I know is that if you want a decent one, it will cost you alot of money. You have to get a trasmittor and receiver in order for it work. Your camera also needs the correct inputs.

They're called pinhole cameras. You get a b&w one for $10 on ebay. A decent one will cost you around $100. They almost never have sound. You also will need a MiniDV cam with AV input if you want to upload it to your computer.

Ok...well I dont think I have one...because I wanted to get my camera pretty close to an explosion..and if it gets burt...I wonderd how I could get the footage

But I have a Sony DCR - HC18E witch I wanted to use as the recording deck

And my Sony DCR - TRV140E as the camera which could be blown up...They both seem to have A/V out but thats not what im looking for is it...

I'm not sure, but isn't it a shot from the camera of it being shot, so you couldn't zoom in and film it on that camera because it was about to be destroyed.
