Rules we shall now be enforcing.

These rules are in place to make HGF a better place. With WEAKs backing, these rules have to be followed strictly otherwise we shall dole out 2 day suspensions. We don't like rules, but the recent mess of this community has prompted us to take action.

No posting external forum links, no PMing members any forum links and neither may you add a link to any forum, whether in your signatures or in a thread.

Sarcasm is tolerated when called for, however excessive sarcasm will not be tolerated. You are to treat all new members with respect, if the member spams you arn't to call the person any names neither may you show agression towards any new member or existing member.

Moderators are to be treated with respect, this includes you Frito. You are to respect a moderators decision without argument, and respect the way in which we run this board. Any comments that insult this board, the way it's run etc shall not be tolerated.

No promotion of external websites allowed on the forums, any promotion gets your URL banned. You may add up to two URLs to your signature, as long as they are not forum based. Any forum based websites get added to our blocklist, circumventing this blocklist is not allowed either. You may not attempt to steal traffic, this mainly aimed at Karl. When a thread exists between members posting an HGF refferal number you may not post yours otherwise your actions will be dealt with. You may post links to content that may be beneficial towards a discussion on these forums, if it's for promotional purposes you shall be dealt with.

If you have a problem with a member, ignore them. If the member abuses you then report them to a moderator and the member shall be dealt with. PMing abuse is also not tolerated under any circumstances. If you are drunk, then you may only post in the drunk thread to prevent the rest of the forums being flooded with your rubbish.

Pointless posts are also not tolerated, it's up to you to decide what is pointless and what is not.

When in a topic that comprises of serious discussion, be serious and create a sensible debate otherwise you shall be dealt with. When a serious news article is posted, you may not joke about it.

These new rules shall be strongly enforced. Suspensions of up to 2 days will be the result of non-compliance. We arn't here to restrict you having fun, just keep to the topic and don't ruin serious threads with bullshit. Use sarcasm in moderation also, it gets tiresome after a while.

Dude thats a good set of rules. The most important one I noticed was the respect and not being mean to new members.

It really shows this place in a bad light when new people are not welcomed unless they are known by others.

I like to think that personally I am very non-confrontational, so keeping to these rules will be no problem.

Members, please understand the purpose of these rules is to better the community. This was once a place where people helped eachother out and showed support, lets work to get it back to that state.

Well Bonar, I daresay most of the rules will be disagreed with by various members. But no, it doesn't mean that. By respecting the mods, I am reffering to the way people swear at them when they try make decisions. Fritos attitude towards M0N0 is a prime example.

I'm not trying to be an ass with these rules here, I think I am leniant am more to member than to moderator, but these boards need a little regularity.
