Damn man...that sucks.

When I swim in the ocean, which is rare, I never go as deep to where the water goes past my chest. I have a huge fear of treading in water while not knowing whats beneathe me.

No, he was referring to the mass amount of blood loss. When you lose a load of blood, you turn pale.
