Hostel review

this movie was fantastic, although it lacked a basic good storyline, the tits, sex, and violence stayed within the high acceptance range for myself.

roth really out did himself from that piece of shit cabin fever. he kinda kept the same personality within the actors he used in this movie from those in cabin fever. so it almost had the same feel at the beginning.

I'm not going to waste time describing what the movie is about, if you're really anxious to see it, then you should already know what to expect, I recommend it for people who aren't all about juicy, right to the action, gorefestism, because honestly through the first 20 minutes or so, I thought it was going to be some lame horror sex comedy. but once you let your guard down, each of the characters go through some of the most gruesome scenes I have seen in awhile. and the movie has a great sense of isolation to it, you just get that feeling of how horrible it would be to be far from home during a huge crisis in your life and no one to turn to.

the acting was very good I thought, they really did a great job at making it hard to watch some of the torture scenes, just sitting there watching as they're tied down to a chair while some freak is coming at them with different sharp tools. they really sell the fear at a reasonable price. I just can't get over how gorey the torture scenes were, it made roth my new favorite director, he wasn't afraid to show some of the most disturbing shit possible.

I really recommend this to horror fans everywhere, but if you just watched saw saw or saw 2 for the first time and think you'd love hostel cause you expect a huge twist and whatnot, then you'll be disappointed, so don''t say, "oh man I love saw 2, I know I'll love hostel!" cause you won't.

yeah? well we all have guilty pleasures, quentin was a huge fan of that movie too. I just thought it was horrible and laughed the whole time watching it.

yeah man, if you laughed during cabin fever, then there's some great parts to laugh at in this, and not like in shame or comedy either, it just shocks you into laughing.

Glad to hear this isn't a dissappointment like most new horrors are. I will def. see this, maybe not in theater though as Im on an hxc diet now and don't like being around junk food....it's torture.

yeah I loved cabin fever, it kicked so much ass, just not in an all time movie classic way, also I was getting head at the time I love the dark.

I went to that movie last night and was about to post a review also. Ya beat me to it! I was one of the few people laughing in the movie at the shit that was happening. I got a couple dirty looks.

That movie is soo disgusting..and I thought Lou licking off her own blood in DanG's fan vid was gross.

LOL that happend to me, my bro and his two friends, we spent the whole time in the movie "reign of fire" messing around, we broke those lights on the side of the theater before the show started, we threw pop corn at all the dudes in the front row, but we didn't get any dirty looks till we starting laughing at the guy getting swallowed whole. I mean what a tard jumping at a 50 foot dragon with an axe in your hand, what the fuck are you thinking. We also laughed at there poverty and when they died, just a funny movie al around.

LOL, it's not all the time, like, only if the dudes in front of us look like total pussies or act like bitches. Or if the movie is gay, or if I seriously think it's funny I will laugh no matter how taboo it is. But usually I just try to enjoy the movie, the way I see it Karma is fucking me over before I do shit, so by me being an asshole at movies once it awhile it sets it all back in order.
