It has the exact same features as my JVC and I'm happy with it. The Nightshot is shit... but any night shot with a Mini DV will be shit.

If you want quality get a sony, but definatly get a mini dv cam. Everything is minidv these days.

I myself have dcr-hc22. Its small and has good pic quality, when I was buying a cam, I decided to get it. But then after some use I noticed it gets lens flares easily. And all the functions are accessed through touch lcd screen, which is feature I dont like. Im afraid that I brake it in use and it gets easily dirty from fingerprints. I also dont like the fact that all the plugs are in board station, not in the cam, capturing etc. gets more complicated.

But I still like the cam because its so small, easy to carry. And it has good picture quality (if you dont get lensflares Image file not present in the recovered backup ).

If you decide to go with some of the HC series cams, which isnt bad choice IMO, you should rather get HC22 than that HC21. HC22 has dv-in which is great, you can export your videos back to tape from your computer and its only little more expensive.

well im gunna get it of ebay casue im not really sure what type of camara to get so imasking on here first but ill probly get 250 before next thursday so ill have like 700ish I think to buy a camara
