How?

Ok well I have about 35 AVI files I want to burn to DVDs, say 3 to a DVD and so on. I have been trying like fuck to get them to burn on the DVD but I just cant. I tried using Roxio 7, Nero 6.3, Encore and it just wont burn the fuckers. Encore keeps going on about converting aspects so I did, and the dubbing fucked up so scrap that idea.

So basically does anyone know how I can burn these to DVD to play on my DVD player? And what application should I use?

EDIT: Only way I know how I could do it would be to convert each file to DVD format like I would a film, but that would mean using one disc per episode, and I aint blowing 35 DVDs when I know it can be done with like 12. Or can you put multiple AUDIO_TS VIDEO_TS folders/files on one DVD?

Download VSO's DivxtoDVD program. It's trialware so you'll need to crack it (or ahem add me to msn or something).

You load all your videos into it, chose what type of dvd settings you want (pal/ntsc etc), click ok, it'll convert them in an hour, then you just burn straight onto a dvd disk.

Does that put turn them into AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS files? Cause I have "winAVI" that can convert them to any format, but the dubbing goes gay, and I lose quality.

I also have a similar problem. I want to straightforward burn a peter kay movie to a dvd, it's 1 hour 20 mins approx and 600 megs. I have tried encore, moviestudio, and a whole variety of video editing software so I can just watch it on my dvd player!

Try and get Pinnacle studio, just import the AVI files as though your editing it, and it can put it straight onto a DVD disc easiley.

The menu creation is pretty basic but its better than nothing.
I bought Studio, and it just came with it, although I did already have Pinnacle Instant CD/DVD already installed, studio might just be compatiable with Instant CD/DVD.

Ah, basically Id download Studio, preferibily v9.3, its so easy to do.

Import your videos, if you want full quality you can have 90minutes per disc obviously, or you can change the quality when its burning to a Disc, so obviosuly lower quality = longer DVD.
Ive burned like 10 DVDs with Studio, all worked fine, you then either choose a default menu which they provide, or make your own, takes just a few mins, it can automatically detect the chapters then your ready to burn.

Seriously though, id download Studio, if you cant find a quicker way. Unless you already have it.

Pinnacle still didnt work. Said something about does not accept shit on MPEG-4 level. Or something like that.

Ah Damn, yeah I sometimes convert my videos to MPEG2, some it accepts, some it dont :S
There is an unlock code somewhere, where you can import/export MPEG4's, but I havnt found it.

One thing you could do is find a editing programme which accepts MPEG4s, back the footage to Mini DV Tapes, then capture on, which will be in .avi format, so then you'll prolly be able to burn them on every programme going, like Nero and stuff.

But thats the long and desperate way!

Nonono, just follow my advice. Download and crack VSO DivxtoDVD.

Import all the video files. pick your dvd output settings (pal etc).
Click ok/convert/go/whatever.

It makes them into a audio_ts video_ts folder/vobs. you just burn straight to a disc.

No yee can't, but if you put loads of videos, a fair amount (not all) into VSO, and select the output to fit a dvd-5 (4.75gb disc), it'll encode them all as one dvd, to fit the disk...
