I really wouldn't know, although I don't know what I'd choose in a toss up, at least piss would be nice and liquid, not lumpy chunks in it.

I've done 24 440ml cans before, beyond about 15 I don't remember much and the next morning I woke up half dressed in bed with DVDs and empty cans and stuff under my bed-covers. I usually draw the line at 16 at the most. I wouldn't do 24 500ml cans ever if I were you.

24 500ml cans = 12 litres of beer? Youch, that's heavy shit. Personally as AT said..I wouldn't go above 16, I usually have 10 pints of guiness or beer on a night out, and I'm a fairly good drinker.
