I have a bunch of footage ready to be uploaded on my computer but I don't want to do it wrong and have to do it again later. I really need some advice on the right kind of video caputer card that I should use. the price doesn't matter I just want something goo so the quality of the footage turns out good, I'm going for dvd quality here. if anyone knows anything about video cards it would really help.

what kind of cam are you using, if it has firewire or usb or something use that first with firewire being priority

otherwise buy a medium priced card that is from a quality company and use the best method from your cam, like in this order,

component (rgb),
Svideo ,
rca(yellow red white),
coaxial (bah).
