RSS - Great for HG?

Ive been working and doing alot with RSS the past few months and was thinking how good it could be for HomeGrown.

For those who do not know what it is its just a great way for when you make new news or make a new video and get everyone who likes your site to know within that day.

I was wondering if anyone here uses ir or if anyone thinks its a good tool for you guys.

You could have all the groups all in one place and for people who dont use this site and just for fans of your site who might not check it every day they could just use the built in FireFox tool and get updates whenever you make them.

Theres tools like this "http://www.feedreader.com/" which work great for it if you dont use FireFox or hate the fireFox plugin for RSS.

Heres a small guide just incase you dont know what RSS is or are interested.

I had this idea a while back, Dave from FCV and I talked about it, at the time we were thinking just for FCV and B-I but it'd be even cooler if it were like, lots of home grown groups.

Have a feed for stunt groups and a feed for skit groups or the ability to make your own feed of your favorite groups and have the script automatically figure out which ones to serve up to you.

That'd be pretty bad ass.

It also helps LOADS with getting indexed on search sites and so on.... Ive been working on my own BLOG site with it all in www.leedoyle.com and its really easy to do.

But if you got just a one off person checking your site and they thought "I like them ill join the RSS" unline they do now "I like them ill come back later" and never do.... this way they will keepup and you might keep alot of people checking your site andit would spred quicker too with all the RSS search sites which are getting bigger and bigger.
