I was going to make a motorcross video, but infortunately, 'the' tape was being borrowed. I decided to just plan for the video, and maybe practise a couple of jumps.

My buddy was practising on his cross bike. He was nailing some 2m jumps, and getting ready for the proper video shoot the next day.

After a while he got bored of doing the jumps, and decided to try and stand up on the bike.

He was going about 55mph and then stood up. Sudenly, he lost balance and fell off. The bike slid off to the side, his head hit the ground, and his helmet flew off. He slid along for a few metres before coming to a stop.

I ran up to him. His arm was quite clearly broken, dangling half way up his arm. I had to pull it out, and put it back into place. He didnt show much sign of pain, but his arm was shaking. The first thing he said was 'Oh, shit, I've broken my arm'.

He remained calm, while supporting the shaking, injured limb with his other hand. I took him back to my place for bandages and ice. He didt have a painkiller. Later, I took him home on my moped.

He refused to go the hospital ('I just don't like them'), and was in school the next day.

He is one tough kid. He does the most dangerous/painful stunts (nail throung the hand style), and has 3 bikes.

That kid earnt a big deal of respect. And is an honoured member of LSD.

gahhhh dammm fuckk, why do the best bails happen when no one's filming. when we're filming bike (not motorbike) stuff sure, we get on film all the perfect landings and tricks etc... but when all the decent crashes happen the camera seems to be turned off. good example is me going off a jump on my beast of a bike (pictured below) and somehow performing a half backflip and landing on my head from about 10 feet. About 2 seconds later the bike landed on top of me. biggrin.gif
