Well, this is a dandy album. This is my first time listening to the kinks, and for classic rock they are a pretty good band. Statik at ckyforums gave me the album and told me to review it when I asked, so I am.
1. Introduction (0:41)
Starts off with a country-like guitar tune, and them singing. Nothing special, other than it's catchy for a bit. Only 41 seconds long, a good introduction. not much else to say so next song.

2. The Contenders (2:02)
It's like going back into the 50s for a second in the beginning, heh. Anyway, catchy song. This one is on electric guitar and it sounds good. Pretty good little guitar solo in between the verse. I like it.

3. Stangers (3:22)
Slower song, on acoustic guitar it sounds like. Kind of a ballad, not exactly though. Just a slower song. Very easy listening on this one, definetly something you play to relax. I like listening to it though it sounds good.

4. Denmark Street (2:03)
Starts off with another country type guitar playing. More of an upbeat country song this time. I would say it was Texan, but that's an insult
. This one makes oyu kind of think "rinky-dink" too. like one of those really happy songs. s'ok.

5. Get Back In Line (3:06)
This song sounds pretty good from the start. Some might say the lyrics are emoish, but there is no emo in classic rock dumbass. Easy listening again, i'm liking it.

6. Lola (4:03)
Great song haha. My favorite so far, its catchy. Country-esque guitar playing, with easy, low singing yet not in the bad way, easy meaning easy to listen to. Not much else to say about this song besides it's cool. So next.

7. Top Of The Pops (3:40)
Starts off with a guy saying "Yes it's Number 1 Top Of The Pops!" then a sweet electric guitar playing. How great is that? Another good song because it sounds a bit more badass (not thats its badass at all, but you get what I mean) with the guitar not being country tune. Another winner.

8. The Money-Go-Round (1:43)
Starts off with a silly little rinky-dink circus tune. Talking about money and stealing money money-go-round, you get it. Not a great song heh.

9. This Time Tommorrow (3:24)
Starts off with airplane sounds... Whoosh, whoosh... Then comes in two guitars with cool dueling country soundish playing. This song is kind of upbeat, yet kind of slow. The insturments are fast, but he sings really slow. Good combonation though.

10. A Long Way From Home (2:28)
Starts off with piano and stuff, i'm not sure if im gonna like it much. But meh, i'll wait.. Yeah... waiting.. :/

11. Rats (2:41)
Nice guitar at the beginning, this song sounds pretty kickass so far. And it is! Nice upbeat song with sweet guitar, it sounds great. One of my favorites on this album actually.

12. Apeman (2:54)
Starts with car noises, then a piano comes in, then a guitar, then drums.... Yeah. It sounds alright so far, a happy little tune about an Apeman. Basically it's like the other songs on the album, so nothing different.

13. Powerman - (4:17)
Starts off with an acoustic, then two or three acoustics, then an electric. This is cool as hell. A powerful song, but not with words and all that gay shit, it;s powerful cause it kicks ass.

14. Got To Be Free (3:00)
A good ender. slow catchy song. I know i;ve heard this before too. not one of my favorites but still decent. Kind of sounds like the band Yes.
