premiere pro previewing problem

Alright, as I am editing, you can hit enter or space bar to play your clip in the monitor window and it renders if you hit enter. No audio plays when its playing in my monitor, at first it was doing this then it smartened up and then it isn't playing audio again. it's making it very hard to sync up video. audio still plays if I drag the arrow thing at the top that run with the video but not if I just try to play it. if theres some kind of mute switch or something I havent found it... help if you can thanks

nevermind I found the problem, in case anyone else comes across it, if your camera is still on and plugged into firewire it fucks with your audio previews thanks for letting me blab for nothing, u can delete this thread if u want
