Talk about breaking your back working.
In yet another stunt gone wrong connected to the MTV show Jackass, a 21-year-old model has broken her back and fractured her pelvis, USA Today reports.
Stephanie Hodges, a full-time student at UCLA, will likely take a year off from modeling and acting to recover from her injuries sustained last month while using a mattress to rocket off a snowbank for the highly criticized show hosted by Johnny "Jackass" Knoxville.

"She's up and mobile," Hodges' manager, Nisa Ahmad, told USA Today.
Hodges, currently featured in ad campaigns for McDonald's and Coke, appeared previously on Jackass in the episode where several people (including an obese man and a dwarf) drank milk until they barfed and passed out.
"There's absolutely no anger or remorse," Ahmad said of Hodges and her injuries, implying there would be no lawsuit.
Jackass is no stranger to controversy--or lawsuits. There have been a few reported "copycat" incidents in which fans of the show were injured imitating dangerous stunts. From becoming a human barbecue to outrunning a moving car to raging down the road with a chainsaw, people don't seem to take MTV's warning at the beginning of the show seriously.
It reads: "The following show features stunts performed by professionals and/or total idiots under very strict control and supervision. MTV and the producers insist that neither you nor anyone else attempt to recreate or perform anything you have seen on this show.
Senator Joseph Lieberman has said in the past that MTV should cancel, tone down or reschedule Jackass to keep kids from watching. The raunchy show airs Sunday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
In response to the Hodges accident, MTV had the following to say: "All of the stunts on Jackass are performed by, and/or supervised by, professionals to reduce the risk of injury."
"It's just a lot of fun," Knoxville says of his show on MTV's Website. Knoxville, who has been doused with pepper spray and sat in a portable bathroom when it was tipped over.
