How do I get traffic?

Yeah, so I'm looking to get some more traffic on the socal forums and I can't think of a way to. I don't wanna spam here, so I won't put the url on, but if someone has any good ideas on how to get more people to the forums, then i'd like to know

Dude we get tons of traffic but im not telling our secret...

JUst get all your friends to post the url in their profiles and tell all their friends. Also post your vids everywhere you can...

remember... tell a friend of a friend of their friends.

what i do is use cpanel to find all the messageboards where my stuff is posted, and give some background info on us, and a website link

and i go to the big sites like albinoblacksheep and ebaums and submit my best stuff

whenever concerts (like cky) are in town, i pass out website flyers

I do link exchanges with sites that get alot of hits, like fredryk foxes site, or again, albino blacksheep

just post links to our best stuff on any messageboard i can find, and i try to become an active member in those forums, so people dont think im spamming and they give the link a chance

i also got our web adress as a giant sticker and put it across the back window of my truck, as a way to promote us even more

i contact the local radio stations and if they are nice enough, they will give us a shout out on the air

and i always try to wear no mercy shirts when out and about in public

also at work if someone rents punked, or the jackass dvd's i tell them about my site and write the link for em

every little bit helps....

Man, that's a lot but it paid off, you get lots of hits..

i don't want to promote my site all that much. I only want to get hits when my stuff is good. This way u'll get a clear view of what people think of your clips. If I'm just going to pass the link to friends I do get the visits and people sucking away my bandwidth.. but u got to think by yourself.. is that what you really want? Yeah, I want my shit to be seen, but not by people who don't love stuff like that so.. plus, I think u should promote at a right time, when you're ready for it. When you have like a few good clips on your site, promote it and people will start to check back and expect more from you. Also try to keep the visitors uhmmm "warm" by giving them previews, telling them about next release dates, injuries etc.

Don't release a clip every "..."th day of the month cause loyal visitors won't check the site on the other days. Try not to release a clip every week or something because people will find it weird if someday it suddenly takes a month for you to complete a video. So for example, if you've released a clip 5 days ago, but already have a new one.. just way a few weeks and then upload it.. in the meanwhile u can already start on another clip.. that way u'll have a better control over your whole site.
