Hey guys,

Just curious about what the stats on your sites are. Cause like look at no mercy video; lots of hits, videos (big ones too). How can sites like this aford to be up? Cause we have 40Gigs of bandwidth/month... i have barely any video's up and we still max out each month. So these are the things i'd like to know:

1) How much bandwidth/month do you have.

2) How much bandwidth do you use in a month.

3) How much is it costin ya/month.

4) How many visits do you get a month.

Thanks,

Bandwidth/ month: up to 2000 gigabytes (VPS)

Bandwidth used a month: Up to 15 gigs (forums are very bandwidth friendly)

How much does it cost: A fuckload

How many visits: Good question, remind me to check.

We pay 7.95 a month for 1000mb disk space, and 100 gig transfer a month.

We have 50+ vids, and are only using about 34% of disk space, and we don't even come close to going over the 100 gig transfer each month.

my old site had about 500 gigs.. 745mb of space.. it was decent. but for awhile they had some kinda virus that wiped all our files.. so for 3 months they gave us unlimited space and bandwidth.

I don't really know any of that stuff, but when we reach about 90 % of our bandwith it just makes us pay more, so our site never says bandwith limit exceeded

Thats a lot of everything right there, but doesnt sound like a bad deal at all if needed.

Currently, we have a 1gb, 100gb transfer account for 7.00 per month. We always go over the limit, but for some reason the hosting just doesn't complain about it, so that is the solitary reason I have stayed with them.

Anyways, our highest month ever was in January and then the site crashed in early February (hosting cut us off, i took a break from getting anything new for awhile). There was over a terabyte of transfer in the days following the release of Season 2, Episode 2 in late January. Currently we're running in the 200 gb per month range, with anywhere from 300-1000 visitors a day. Highest day ever was just over 8000 visitors (January 2004). July 2003 was the highest month at about 40,000, although February was on pace to have around 100,000. Looking back on it, I really should have tried to get the site back up quicker...

How do you afford 60 bucks a month No Mercy?

Yeah, but it sucks that you should have to spend 60 bucks a month so others get to watch your stuff for free, I mean, it's cool for us, but it doesn't seem fair for you....

Well, its one of the main things i am doing in my life right now, and like all adictions, they cost money

I would never charge for people to see my stuff over the net
All buisnesses require an inital investment, and i wanna get my stuff seen, so its worth it to have a good server that wont constantly die on me

like the first day i got a host with 80 gigs of monthly badnwith, and i used it up the first day, I hate having to worry if people can see our stuff, so i dont mind payin it

ive sold around 30 dvd's in total, at 12 bux apeace, i spend around 2 bux per blank dvd, plus buying the label inserts, cd labels, ink for printing them out, and the shipping fee, i pretty much break even
Im not out to make money, we are out to entertain

We do have tshirts and many other items for sale, and a donation thing too, just no one buys anything

http://www.cafeshops.com/nomercystore

its under shop, on our main page, i suppose i could change it to something more attention grabbing like BUY STUFF!! or MERCH WOOHOO, but i dunno....
