I don't get it..

Ok, so on tv they can show people smoking pot (illegal), street racing (illegal), etc..

But none of them get into any trouble. Even if the person's name is released and a lot more information. Why is that? They broke a law, does it have to do with freedom of press or something else? if so, what?

They probably do get in trouble behind the scenes, or it may be in the contract

Nope. They don't get in trouble at all. They can have people on MTV doing illegal street racing and they never get in trouble. It's weird...

it's because they can say it's staged it's easy

For stuff like smoking pot and stuff, dont u have to be caught in the act or something like tht?

But I get wht ya mean, like in documentarys and stuff, they show kids smoking weed and stuff like tht yeah.
